About us

ITA.CA (Italian Case-Law On Private Antitrust Enforcement ) is the result of a synergy between academia (the Universities of Milan and Ferrara) and the judiciary (Courts of First Instance and Courts of Appeal of Milan, Rome and Naples).

The main goal is to offer a ‘reasoned’ and continuously updated database of the antitrust judgments handed down by the Courts of First Instance and the Courts of Appeal of Milan, Rome and Naples, i.e. the three fora having jurisdiction for private antitrust enforcement actions in Italy, as a result of the framework laid down by Legislative Decree No. 3/2017 implementing Directive 2014/104/EU.

ITA.CA represents the evolution of the previous initiative named Giurisprudenza Antitrust Milanese (GAM) – started in 2019 with the scientific and financial contribution of the Jean Monnet Chair “Qui a peur de l’Europe?” led by Professor Massimo Condinanzi – and is currently supported by the Jean Monnet Module “EU specialized judicial protection” led by Professor Jacopo Alberti.

The database collects the decisions adopted from January 1st 2013; at the moment, it includes only final judgments and no interim orders.
